Seals are marine mammals with big eyes, brilliant whiskers, and amazing swimming skills.

How long can they hold their breath? Many seals can stay underwater for around 10 to 30 minutes, and some species can manage much longer!

Quick seal facts

Baby seals are called pups.
They breathe air, just like us.
They eat fish, squid, and other sea creatures.
Their streamlined bodies help them move easily through the water.
Grey seals can be spotted around the UK coast, especially in Norfolk and Scotland.
